Bavarian veal sausage

The Weisswurst is a light-coloured boiled sausage and a very typical speciality from Bavaria. It is classically made from veal (or pork), back fat and spices. The sausage warmed in water (not cooked) and typically eaten with sweet mustard and a pretzel. Better to say “twitched”. At the table, the sausage is served in a weissworst pot to keep it warm. This is accompanied by a wheat beer or other Bavarian beer.


This sausage is also served with a classic snack or simply eaten as a snack.
