International Berlin Beer Festival – the Beer Mile

Every 1st weekend in August the big international beer festival took place in Berlin-Friedrichshain.
Every year, on the first weekend in August, thousands of visitors are drawn to a 2.2 km long stretch of road near Alexanderplatz in Berlin – the Beer Mile. German and international breweries offered their barley juice on the freely accessible festival grounds.

Up to 350 breweries from 90 countries presented 2400 beers. In addition to the abundant flowing barley juice, there was a rich selection against the small hunger in between: Thuringian Mutzbraten, Spreewald gherkins, Bavarian white sausage, garlic baguettes, Quarkkeulchen or Piroggen.
19 stages along the beer mile brought additional atmosphere to the weekend with numerous bands. Admission free.

The last festival was held in 2019.
