The landlady, it is said, is the soul of an inn. She often stands at the stove herself, spoils her guests with regional delicacies and attaches importance to a cultivated wine list and cordial service. Most of the time, these establishments are a little cozier, the ambience a little more tasteful, and the menus a little more lovingly composed. Hostesses and their restaurants are presented, spiced with anecdotes and favorite recipes of the landlords and wonderful photos.
Tips for excursions invite you to discover places and landscapes. When reading the exciting portraits, you immediately want to pack your suitcase and go.
