Preparation dough
Melt honey, brown sugar and butter in a saucepan over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Let everything cool down a bit.
Mix flour with cocoa, baking soda and gingerbread spice. Add the egg and the butter mixture. Mix the potash in a small amount of water and add to the dough. Add the milk as needed.
Knead the dough well, wrap in plastic wrap and let rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Gingerbread House
Roll out the gingerbread dough evenly. Cut the parts for the house according to the template at the end of the document. Window and door are only suggestions. Here you can also let your imagination run wild.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 13 to 15 minutes. Let cool on a cooling rack.
First, connect the side pieces and the front and back of the house with icing. Our icing recipe is very suitable for this. Support the parts to dry. Once that is all solid, the two halves of the roof are also attached with frosting. Connect the two chimney pieces with icing and attach to the roof.
Then also decorate the roof. Place the gingerbread house in a suitable shallow dish or tray. Sugar works very well as snow, which we also used in our illustration.
NOTE: For durability, it is advisable to decorate the side and gable parts individually with different sweets. Let dry.
