Recipe strawberry jam with elderflower
Flavor your strawberry marlade with vanilla and elderflower. Make a recipe yourself.

strawberries (fresh or frozen)

1: 2 sugar (with 1: 1 sugar the red color stays longer)
1
juice of one lemon

tbsp
vanilla sugar (you can easily make it yourself)
1
elderflower umbel per glass
Instructions
Clean the strawberries and cut into pieces.
Add the vanilla sugar, lemon juice and sugar. Cover everything and let it stand for at least 2 hours.
Boil the jars with lids in boiling water and have them ready.
Put the strawberries in a saucepan and let simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. Then make a gelling test.
Place an elderberry umbel in each glass (stem up). Then fill with jam up to 1 cm below the rim. Screw to the cover.
Turn the jars upside down for 5 minutes. (In this way the lid takes on the temperature of the hot jam and remains airtight.)
Let the glasses cool down and then eat them immediately or store them in the pantry.
Tipps & Hinweise
Simply remove the elder umbels before eating. Alternatively, you can also use fresh mint or simply prepare the strawberries straight.
